PITT TRIP PROMPTS JOLIE TO RETURN TO AFRICA   
 
Movie beauty ANGELINA JOLIE has returned to Kenya for a United Nations poverty-eradication project - after her romantic holiday in the east African country with actor BRAD PITT alerted her to the region's suffering.

The MR AND MRS SMITH co-stars enjoyed a relaxing break in Kenya last month (APR05) fuelling speculation they are secretly dating each other.

And the 29-year-old actress and UN ambassador was so moved by the famine and disease faced by local residents, she has traveled to a Sauri village with her adopted son MADDOX and JEFFREY SACHS, a special advisor to the UN secretary general, on the eradication of global poverty.

Jolie has allowed a television crew to film her during the trip, in a bid to raise awareness of Sach's MILLENNIUM VILLAGES PROJECT, which aims to help impoverished African villages by providing electricity, medical care and access to markets.

JOLIE BLAMES HER INDEPENDENT NATURE FOR FAILED MARRIAGES    
 
ANGELINA JOLIE blames herself for her failed marriages to actors JOHNNY LEE MILLER and BILLY BOB THORNTON - because she was too independent to be a successful wife.

The TOMB RAIDER star divorced Miller and Thornton in 1999 and 2003 respectively, and she fears she would still be married if she allowed herself to form a team with her husbands and accepted their help.

She says, "I think I was a good wife to the men I married, and I'm capable of being a very nurturing person, but I also know that I never asked for any help.

"Even with something like buying a home together, I would say, 'I'll take care of my own stuff so that if this breaks apart tomorrow, I know where everything is.' We didn't become a team."

Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie says she will not cheat with actor Brad Pitt, while he is still married to actress Jennifer Aniston.

Jolie's father, Academy Award-winning actor Jon Voight, was a cheater, but she won't be, Sky News reported Saturday.

"To be intimate with a married man, when my own father cheated on my mother, is not something I could forgive," said the star of "Lara Croft: Tomb Raider." "I could not look at myself in the morning if I did that."

Voight left Jolie's mother, Marcheline Bertrand, after he had an affair, when Jolie was a toddler, the Mail reported.

Jolie, who stars in the movie "Mr. And Mrs. Smith" with Pitt, was seen with him in Kenya last month.

Angelina Jolie has insisted that she would not be able to look at herself in the mirror if she became romantically involved with a married man.

In her latest protest that she has never been anything more than friends with Brad Pitt, Jolie has revealed that memories of her father cheating on her mother would stop her from ever being 'the other woman'.

"To be intimate with a married man, when my own father cheated on my mother, is not something I could forgive," she told Marie Claire magazine. "I could not, could not look at myself in the morning if I did that."

New York: Screen siren Angelina Jolie denies she slept with Hollywood heartthrob Brad Pitt, despite paparazzi snaps of them strolling along an African beach, which ignited a tabloid frenzy.

"I think the world of him, we got on great," Jolie said, in an interview in the July edition of US magazine 'Marie Claire'. But asked whether she ever had sex with Pitt, who was hit with a divorce bombshell from his wife, 'Friends' star Jennifer Aniston, in March, she said "Absolutely not."

Jolie and Pitt, who star as a married couple in the new movie "Mr and Mrs Smith" sparked speculation after they were spotted at an exclusive beach resort in Kenya earlier this year.

"To be intimate with a married man, when my own father cheated on my mother, is not something I could forgive," Jolie, daughter of Oscar winner Jon Voight, told 'Marie Claire'. "I could not, could not, look at myself in the morning if I did that," said Jolie, who won an Oscar for 'Girl, Interrupted' and travels the world as a United Nations goodwill ambassador.

Jolie, ex-wife of actor Billy Bob Thornton, admitted she had friends who doubled as lovers, but said her next serious relationship would involve a man who would become a father to her four-year-old son Maddox, whom she adopted from a Cambodian orphanage.

"I think the next man I get involved with would have to become Mad's father, and that's a high bar as far as I'm concerned. I'm not anticipating that coming anytime soon."
